I literally have no idea who I am without coffee and for the first time in my life, I’ve quit drinking it!

Today I’m recording my FIRST episode in my brand new LA apartment and I’m catching you up on my life, why I’ve quit coffee (for now!), the journey I’m going on to unlearn urgency and trust that my creativity is accessible from a place of ease and without caffeine. It’s a new era for THE FLORENCE GIVEN SHOW because we have a new background. I’m so excited for you to see it grow and change and inevitably…become more pink as time goes by.

This is not just another pep talk about boundaries. Today we’re getting into the nitty gritty of what that looks like and sharing some of my own personal experiences with struggling to set them. Because when you’re a lover girl with a BIG fat fucking open heart and you’re used to letting people walk all over you - boundaries don’t feel kind. It feels cruel. It feels like you’re being MEAN. It feels like you’re being SELFISH.

And you need to set them anyway.

The world needs more women who are full of themselves and I will be here as often as fucking possible to remind you that you are allowed to take up space in the world, starting in your own life.

If you’re someone who overextends themselves in friendships and relationships and ends up in a bitter cycle of resentment and exhaustion, THIS IS A PEP TALK FOR YOU! If you’re someone who secretly fears that if they followed their desires, and put their foot on the gas, their entire world would fall apart and everything would crumble, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!

You can't be GREAT without being SHIT first. The messy ‘middle’ work between where you want to be and where you are is unavoidable. Failure and embarrassment is the tax you pay for creative success. So you might as well go for it and get the shit parts out of the way!

In today’s episode I’m sharing a rant of gratitude towards my past, audacious and courageous self. Because I would be nowhere without her.

I recorded this in the middle of writing an essay on my laptop, sat on my pink sofa, deep in a juicy flow state - and I realised how many experiences of failing HAD to come before that wonderful moment. Things are only easy now because a previous version of yourself had the courage to try and try again.
