Legacy and Responsibility, A Journey from William the Conqueror to Wild Wellbeing
"A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit.”
This week on The NatLifePod, I’m thrilled to welcome the man with a 3000 acre nature recovery plan.
Introducing my friend Roger Tempest, the custodian of Broughton Sanctuary.
With a legacy spanning 33 generations and around 1000 years, Roger carries the immense responsibility of caring for the remarkable 3000-acre Brougton Sanctuary and shares how he is dedicated to creating a safe space for inner and outer transformation and nature recovery - This includes introducing ancient breeds of animals, hosting nature immersive experiences and retreats aimed at fostering both inner and outer healing.
Oh and planting over 300,000 trees, in whose shade he might never sit beneath.
We also discuss odyssey - a 30km nature recovery/discovery trail for inner and outer wellbeing - a project that I am proud to say that I am consulting on and which has meant me and my family have had the privilege of staying here at Brougton for 2 months now.
I really love what Roger and his partner Paris and the team are co-creating here. So I thought this would make a great conversation and I wasn’t wrong.
I hope you enjoy the chat as much as we did.

Letting Go Of Letting Go, A conversation with Robyn Leonie
I firmly believe that ancestral health is modern-day wealth, and believe that ancestral health holds the key to closing the gap between wellness as an industry and wellness as a state of being.
My next podcast guest on ‘The NatLifePod’ is certainly aligned with this mission and has dedicated herself to bridging the gap between ancient wisdom and modern life, and has traveled the world studying the roots of cultures to learn how they guide our Human Experience and enrich our contemporary lives.
In today’s inspiring episode, I’m in a conversation with the heart lead Robyn Leonie, an explorer, creator, and facilitator and with her partner Ahau Samuel the co-creator of Root of The Gods. Robyn shares her path into the world of ancestral health and the profound significance of sweat lodges, rites of passage, and vision quests, illuminating Robyn’s personal journey into these sacred spaces and beyond.
We also reflect on how we introduced the UK’s first 100 Human Sweat Lodge at ‘The Hundred Human Experience’ this year at 42 Acres in Somerset AND HOW we’re thrilled to be introducing this potent medicine at ‘The Next 100 Human Experience’ in Norfolk called ‘KINDRED’.
This is our first multigenerational experience where we are inviting families to gather, connect, and partake in ancestral practices and traditions including the sweat lodge with Robyn and Ahau of ‘Root Of The Gods’.Join us as we embark on Robyn’s journey to rekindle the practices of the natural world in a way that honors our ancestors and nurtures our futures future.
I hope you enjoy the conversation as much as we did.

Wild Tending, Harmonious Farming Through The Feminine, A conversation with Tasha Stevens-Vallecillo
There’s a lot of buzz around off grid living, living in community, rewilding, foraging, regen and wild tending at the moment. And I feel that we need the voices of those that are truly embodied to learn from. So it’s with great pleasure I get to introduce my next guest Tasha who is definitely one of those wise voices.
Tasha Stevens-Vallecillo is a mixed race English, Central American woman with a Buddhist Spiritual practice. She has been the visionary of many projects and is a true creative force working with community, wild food, wild tending, food production and farming to address some of the core issues of our time. Her work is rooted in continuous learning and intuitive feeling, to explore and continuously develop methodologies and product development, creating food systems that work in harmony with nature through developing agri-wilding landscapes and products that draw on ancient or indigenous understandings of land, food and medicine.
There’s so much that Tasha can speak to from a real place of knowing and this conversation is a great intro to Tasha and my hope is for her to come back on the NatLifePod to share some more of her wisdom.
I hope you enjoy the wild chat as much as we did.

From Grass to Greens: Pesticides, Produce and Playgrounds - A conversation with Jess Abbis
Get ready to be inspired, educated, mortified, but motivated to take action.
Whether you're a farmer, an environmental enthusiast, or you simply love food and care about this planet we call home, this episode is for you.
In this episode of The NatLifePod I’m with the lovely Jess Abbis who’s mission is to unite, inspire and accelerate the movement towards regeneration as a means to restore soil, human, and planetary health.
Having listened to the needs of the UK regenerative movement, Jess and her cofounders transitioned from Farmers Footprint UK and are now working under the name of the foundational programme, 'The Nest', a non-profit creative agency in service and support of agro ecological producers to sell and market their products to local, regional consumers.
Jess shares her experience and insights on sustainable farming, organic farming vs regenerative practices, and the importance of reconnecting with community.
We discuss how creating direct relationships between our local farmers and us consumers can foster a sense of community, promote transparency in the food system, help protect the environment, promote biodiversity, ensure food security, and create more resilient and prosperous communities for present and future generations.

Soil & Soul the infinite Connection - A conversation with Zach Bush
In this episode, Zach Bush graces the mic with his unique perspective and expertise. and shares his profound insights into the interconnectedness of human health and the environment.
I am a big fan of Zach’s work and on the few occasions that we have met I have been blown away by this man’s mind.
Zach’s fascinating insights and mind-blowing revelations often lead me down such deep hyper focus rabbit holes, especially when he starts to speak from a spiritual and philosophical place about nature, consciousness and interconnectedness.
So Prepare for a perspective shift as we delve into the fascinating world of the microbiome, regenerative farming, extinction, consciousness and our disconnection from nature.
We Unpack the state of our healthcare systems and food systems and how these systems are actually financially incentivised to compromise the health of humanity.
Furthermore, Zach highlights the importance of reconnecting with nature and our food systems to cultivate a deeper sense of consciousness to promote personal and planetary transformation.
I hope you enjoy this enlightening conversation as much as I did
Huge thanks to 42 Acres Retreat for supporting us and creating the space for this conversation to happen. I appreciate all that you do.
