Reminiscence, the ocean and the future of music
In this episode, artistic director Krishna chats to paradise pop artist, collaborator and long-time friend Ravika, about the inception of the Tides soundtrack. Between reminiscence of growing up in Townsville together, the artists explore their deeply felt connection to the ocean, their musical and literary influences and discuss the difficulty in cutting through the noise in such a media-saturated world.

Tides traverses online and physical mediums to immerse audiences in Townsville's hidden past and envisioned future. Set in 2075 - as digital experience drowns out the physical - preservation of the past is seen as only a hindrance to progress. But when a heart gets broken that suddenly, it’s not that easy to just let the past disappear. Resisting the filtered virtual mainstream, one researcher attempts to work through their own spectacular crash-on-the-rocks. Immersed among the long-forgotten relics at the bottom of the ocean, they are tossed a lifeline, but have they learned from the past?
