Jesters of Ravenloft: A D&D Podcast

As the Fellowgroup tried to convince the scholar to grant them access to the wardrobe, they received more disturbing news. Denethea had arrived, though she had been strangely quiet, along with a dwarf delegation from Moria that included Blemblo, who was now a wizard and had been the one to broker peace with Mordor. Adam convinced the scholar to let him check the wardrobe for dangerous sproingy armour that the dwarves may have put there, the scholar agreed to vouch for them, and Tyler and Guy made amends with the tavern owner when they introduced the concept of tipping. Could these small wins spell a turning point for the Fellowgroup?

At the gates of Minas Tirith, the guards didn’t believe that Tyler was the king, but they were impressed enough with GanDelf’s magic that they let them in anyways and the Fellowgroup entered a tavern that served as sort of border check. After leaving a less-than-stellar impression on the owner, they had better luck with a scholar, who was amazed by Tyler’s health card and recognized the sword from Rivendell that had been reforged. The scholar panicked as he realized that Denethor was a pretender king. Can the Fellowgroup talk their way into examining the strange wardrobe that had mysteriously appeared in the scholar’s room?

The Fellowgroup had a restless night. Guy patched up Tony Dumdum, Adam tried to comfort Tony with mud pillows and nursery rhymes but it didn’t really help, GanDelf got even more frustrated and depressed over her failed pipe smoke shapes, and Tyler spent the night making sure his friends weren’t spiraling or getting lost. The next morning, they arrived at Minas Tirith and soon learned that Gondor had become a vassal state of Mordor, the war was evidently over, Denethea had returned, and her father had been crowned king. Will GanDelf’s magic be enough to enhance Tyler’s presence and convince the guards that he’s the real king?

While Tyler, GanDelf, and Yolo conferred elsewhere, Adam, Guy, and Tony tried to finish off the orcs. Guy offered them safe passage if they surrendered, but the orcs didn’t believe him, so instead they clashed their weapons, the sparks set fire to the grease, and they burned up. The Fellowgroup took some time to rest and recover from their injuries, GanDelf got depressed and spiralled until Tyler talked her out of it, Yolo wondered if he could ever repair his friendship with Frodo, and Adam gained even more shadow when he shared his plan to retaliate against his daddy. But will Tony Dumdum survive the massive wound he only just noticed?

The Fellowgroup fought a band of orcs that had escaped the battle at Helm’s Deep. Adam and Tony pushed boulders toward the orcs, but when they tried to barrel down the hill themselves, Adam slipped on GanDelf’s greasy ground. Guy then tried to slide down the hill on his shield while shooting arrows, but lost his aim and hit Adam. Tyler, meanwhile, went after Yolo, and spotted Frodo trying to sneak up on the ringbearer. The disturbed hobbit fled, and GanDelf joined them, leaving the others to handle the orcs. Adam managed to recover and slice up an orc, but can he, Guy, and Tony Dumdum really take care of the rest of the enemies alone?
