Bec's yaying (finally) implementing a job's list for the kids, and them being in the honeymoon phase and enjoying it (for now!). She's naying the hilarious and slightly embarrassing moment the 3yo mistook someone else for her and lifted another lady's dress in public. Sam is naying the jobs list because Bec has insited on handwriting it when he wants the fancy digital option, but yaying a fun weekend with the kids. After that catchup, we dive into 20+ reasons parents have found their kids crying - and we are laughing! From tired tantrums over being given what they want, to wild imaginary situations, we are laughing along with these parents in the podcast. To finish it off, Bec has a quick parents in the news segment as an important reminder to put purchase notifications on your phone and passcode protect your payment options before giving them to your kids (unless you like having 60k+ lollipops delivered to your door!). • Parenting confessions and boycotting Uber!
The parent confessions keep coming! With parent fail stories and funny moments - here's what's coming in this episode...We start with the hard-hitting questions first - are sprinkles overrated? Cast your vote in the comments for this important parenting debate!Catching up with our yays and nays - Bec is laughing at overhearing the kids' conversations, grossed out by missing showers and baffled by the youngest's first 100 words that have been heavily influenced by his 3yo brother. Sam is having a great week booking family holidays in for the year (better late than never!) and naying sharing a bed with the 6yo who's wiggling left him in agony after being unexpectedly kneed in the groin during the night!Into the confessional and we have adult content warnings with kids getting into mums bedside table, unfortunate baby blowouts, automated public toilets, cupboard poops, whinging kids, kids terrorizing nanna's arm fat and a refusing to get out of the bath turned fail. All in all - one big giant laugh and a reminder that you're not alone in the trenches of parenthood. Bec can't let an episode go by without her parents in the news - and thank you to the people tagging her in stories! This week we are boycotting Uber after a mortifying experience a family had. And you won't believe Uber's response! Then we talk about pocket money inflation, and avoiding Sam getting on his soapbox about the price of cheese again. As always, we are asking questions and requesting stories on our socials, so make sure you're following us and sending us your stories! • Sperm races, pregnant tears and parent confessions
We brought back the confessional and we don't know who had more fails and funny moments this week - Bec or the parents sending in their stories! Starting with a mom confession, we launch in with our weekly yay & nays - Bec yaying getting to go to the shops by herself for the first time in what feels like years, followed by a nay from the same trip with a major embarrassing toilet moment (and the kids weren't even there!). Sam's following up Easter being grateful for time with family and friends, while naying whatever was in the chocolate this year cos it hit our kids different this Easter! We then share an ever growing list of reasons why pregnant moms have cried. Bec gets more than 1 story a day sent in, so we are sharing again some of the hilarious moments moms have on the wild ride that is pregnancy. We are talking crying over food, cats, arctic sharks, wiggle concerts and episodes of the office! In the confessional this week we have 4 stories from parents that will remain anonymous, reminding us that we aren't the only ones who make mistakes or have moments that make us face palm. From almost forgetting a baby at the shops to giving up on pyjamas, pretend breastfeeding and running out of milk for cereal - these are moments that make us remember parenting is hard for everyone at one point or another. We wrap up the show with two parent in the news stories (because it's one of Bec's favourites!), with an Easter out for any parents that may have forgotten the Easter bunny this year, and an unexpected new race to bet on for the dads - sperm racing. Come back next week and make sure you send us your answers to the questions: What's your kid cried over, or what's the funniest thing they've said? Answers and laughs to come!FOLLOW US FOR MORE! • 'My son ate my dad', Easter potatoes and BTS of Finding Nemo!
Laughing through funny parent news stories, messages from parents and a few Easter Eggs to a favourite movie for kids and parents!Kicking off the show, Bec throws Sam the curly question the 6 year old tried asking in the car this week, before quickly jumping into the yays and nays. Bec is yaying the cute words the 18 month old is coming out with (and YES of course we've included a little sound bite of 'sea horse'!), while naying the 3 year olds lack of personal boundaries.Sam is naying being away for work and coming back to a baby who knows words (growing up while he is away!) and yaying a beautiful moment teaching the 6 year old to rollerskate (but we promise there was a tantrum thrown in - and that was just Bec). We have 4 news stories this week in parents in the news, with a terrifying babysitter experience, a kid eating his grandfathers ashes, Easter potatoes and emotional support tigers. Then we share some of the stories we've been getting in response to the last few episodes including: a hilarious typo sent in from a teacher, another teacher fail thanks to their mom, a kid telling on mom for not feeding him breakfast, a kid making phone calls and very public on-purpose tantrums. This week's Easter Eggs is brought to you by Finding Nemo! Check out all the trivia and Finding Nemo Easter Eggs we found to share including a character voiced over by mistake, clown fish science, and references to the shining. Let us know what you want to hear us find the Easter Eggs in next (we are thinking Shrek next week but happy to be overruled!).FOLLOW US FOR MORE!
