When was the last time you felt really embarrassed by your kids? Don't they often behave poorly when company comes over? How do you handle it? Does it ruin your day? Do you frantically search for the newest parenting book to find the magic formula to prevent this from ever happening again?

I have felt this way so many times! It used to rip at my core identity and make me feel like I might be disqualified as an effective parent! But the longer I parented, the better I became at realizing that kids just do the darndest things, and that their every bad choice was not an exact representation of my parenting ability. How we show up as mothers when our kids misbehave largely depends on our thoughts! Shocker, right? Let's talk about it. Another awesome opportunity for your growth as you mother your big, beautiful family!

Have you noticed your kids do not come with built in manners?! Do you find them interrupting each other or you when talking to other adults? Of course, they aren't being disobedient if you have never taught them otherwise.

Today I'll be sharing with you a simple tool that I taught all of my children in our Big Family that allowed them to learn that other people are in the world and it's good to be aware of them and to be kind. Sometimes kindness looks like waiting. This tool will teach your children the beautiful gift of waiting.

Mama, i've been here so many times! I used to feel so guilty, but through the years i figured out creative ways to stay connected to the Lord amidst the very busy days of motherhood.
