This week on The Corpse Cast, Mike and Matt pay tribute to the late, great Sam Neill by revisiting two of his best horror performances: John Carpenter’s In the Mouth of Madness and Paul W.S. Anderson’s Event Horizon.

Most people will always remember Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant from Jurassic Park, but horror fans know he had one hell of a genre résumé. And these two movies show exactly why he was so effective in horror.

In In the Mouth of Madness, Neill plays skeptical insurance investigator John Trent, a man convinced that everything has a rational explanation—right up until reality itself begins falling apart around him.

Then in Event Horizon, he plays Dr. William Weir, creator of an experimental gravity drive that sent a spaceship somewhere mankind was never meant to go… and brought something terrible back with it.
