Intuitive Astrology with Molly McCord

This week's astrology can bring renewed clarity around what we truly desire as we complete Libra season with a strong Plutonic influence. Thankfully on October 14 and 15, the Sun in Libra sextiles Jupiter in Leo at 21 and 22 degrees, supporting optimism, creative opportunities, and inspired forward movement, especially after the Libra New Moon last Saturday. Pluto stations direct at 3 degrees Aquarius on Oct 15, awakening profound realizations, intuitive insights, and greater personal empowerment that may activate more clairvoyance and claircognizant gifts that reveal what we need to see. On Oct 16, Mars in Leo trines Saturn retrograde in Aries at 10 degrees, providing stability and determination to move ahead with important decisions. Very productive energies this week! Then on October 19, Venus retrograde in Scorpio squares Pluto in Aquarius at 3 degrees, intensifying themes of power, control, hidden truths, financial attachments, and the need to release what has run its course. The Sun in Libra opposes Chiron retrograde in Aries at 28 degrees on October 21, highlighting relationship healing, personal sovereignty, and the courage to honor our authentic needs. Acknowledging what you have healed will generate confidence, even amongst others who have a different perspective or opinion to offer. With Mercury preparing to station retrograde in Scorpio on October 24, we are encouraged to slow down, trust our intuition, and reconsider what truly matters. More to share in this week's episode.

Well hello Libra new moon! ♎🪷⚖️ It is exact on Saturday October 10th at 17 degrees in your chart, and offers an intentional balancing point within yourself to make clear conscious choices.

Libra energy is where we integrate masculine and feminine energies internally, and then objectively observe how those energies are showing up externally.

When you are aligned and deeply in tune with yourself, you feel a natural peace and harmony that travels into all areas of your life.

What is your intention for this new moon? ♎

This week invites us into a powerful exploration of relationships, self-awareness, and the courage to move forward as Venus retrograde in Scorpio continues to uncover deeper emotional truths. Libra season asks us to reconsider what healthy partnership looks like now in our lives, where we genuinely desire connection, collaboration, communication, and support, while also honoring the areas of life where greater independence is needed. On Oct 7, Mars in Leo sextiles Uranus retrograde in Gemini at 5 degrees brings fresh momentum, unexpected insights, and the confidence to break free from what has felt stuck. The October 10 Libra New Moon at 17 degrees opens a new chapter around conversations, choices, relationships, and co-creation. Yet with Venus retrograde in Scorpio squaring Mars in Leo at 7 degrees on Oct 10 as well, we may also encounter tension between the part of ourselves that remembers past pain and the part that is ready to take a new risk. The deeper invitation is to recognize how much we have grown, and trust that we do not have to make future choices from old fears.

And with the untimely passing of my longtime friend, sister, and mentor Sass Jordan, our unreleased Rock and Roll Meets Spirit and Soul astrology house series will be shared on YouTube this weekend as an honoring of our friendship, creative partnership, and Sass’s lifelong love of astrology, spirituality, and personal growth.

The powerful fixed T-square energies unfolding throughout October 2026 are creating sustained evolutionary pressure across the early degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. Venus retrograde and Mercury in Scorpio square Mars in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius, revealing where old fears, attachments, relationship patterns, financial concerns, and unconscious emotional material are colliding with a growing desire to act, create, and move forward. With Pluto stationing direct on October 15, the month brings life-changing choices, permanent transformations, and the closing of chapters that no longer align with our authentic future. Although the fixed signs may initially resist change, this configuration asks us to recognize where familiarity has become limitation and where we are ready to choose a new form of stability. The Taurus Full Moon on October 26 creates another fixed T-square with the Sun in Scorpio and Pluto in Aquarius, illuminating what is no longer sustainable within our finances, possessions, commitments, values, and everyday lives. Ultimately, October invites us to loosen what has become too tightly held, trust our inner guidance, and rise beyond the illusion of being trapped into a more empowered, liberated, and self-directed future.

A powerful Venus retrograde begins at 8° of Scorpio on October 2nd, as she begins her initial descent into the underworld. ♏

Venus retrograde in Scorpio will stir up intense energies and emotions that have been residing under the surface, with the intention of ultimately purging you of what has been disempowering and fear-based. ✨

Her retrograde will be complex as she makes aspects to Chiron and Pluto, plus has her final Venus Star point in Scorpio at zero degrees on October 24th. 🌟

A few more thoughts to share in this short video.
