  • WFO Presents - Starfall!
Hi friends - Deej here with another show we wanted to share. SO ... I can tell you first of all that a huge number of the folks who make audio drama - including myself - made their way here via the theatre-kid pipeline. And I suspect a lot of our audience is the same. Were you a theatre kid? Did you want to be in theatre, on stage or behind the curtains or maybe building sets, props, costumes ... was that whole theatrical magic something that fascinated you? Well, theatrical magic is what we've got! Starfall is a fantasy adventure series about a traveling theatre troupe that uses magic to tell their stories, falling into everything from minor mishaps to grand political machinations while they strut their stage and construct their props ... but the show always goes on, before and behind the curtain! And the cast - we're talking an absolute powerhouse of so many of our favourite folks in audio fiction, including a big chunk of the casts of both Moonbase and Waiting For October! How much more do I need to say before you listen to Starfall? We've got the first episode for you right here, so take a listen (and make sure you keep an ear out for Glenn!) - then go add Starfall in all your podcast apps to continue the story! And now ... the curtains will part and the stage is revealed!  *** Starfall Episode Transcript: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1k0ovwIDdbxEVagIfrRm2YH7V4FAS-WWj-p8CbHx2J0g/edit?tab=t.0 *** Learn more about your ad choices. Thank you for your support! And here we are, at the very end of Season One! It’s been quite an adventure, and I want to thank you so much for listening. Everything about this show has been a really personal, very emotional journey for so many of us involved, and we can’t wait to see where it takes us next. After all, remember – we write the story, it doesn’t write us! Our next steps will be working on the first between-seasons miniseries – which as you’ve heard, might involve the Moon – and then starting to plot out Season Two. But while we’re taking a bit of a well-earned break and then diving in on that, we could use your help too! Your support of the show and participation in our community is just as important. When you share the show with friends, recommend or rate us on social media or your podcast app or places like Podchaser … when you join our Patreon or buy our merch … all of that is incredibly, vitally important and it means the world – all the worlds, really – to us when you do it. So another thank you for that to everyone who participates! And one last note before we say farewell for a while. It’s a really rough time in the world for so many reasons, and it’s so hard to keep it together and to find ways to keep pushing back. Please, remember that self-care and connecting with others is a big part of resistance. Be good to yourself, be good to the people around you, and know that we are with you. So much love.  Network: https://fableandfolly.com/ Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@waitingforoct Tumblr: @monkeymanproductions Discord: https://discord.gg/6NAhrG5 Facebook: Monkeyman Productions BlueSky: @monkeyman.bsky.social Merch: http://tee.pub/lic/zUb0YN1_6mw Learn more about your ad choices. Listen to both of them now! And for us … this may have been the season finale, but it’s not the last you’re going to hear! Because more seasons, I’d hope, but right now we’ve still got one more monologue to share before we take a break – and that’ll be Karo letting us know where they’re at after finding a way forward. • WFO Presents - Greater Boston!
Hi folks, Deej here, and we've got another episode swap where we're introducing you to a show we think you should hear. Though honestly, I'm surprised if you haven't heard of this one! Greater Boston is one of the absolute juggernauts in the audio fiction sphere, and it's been one of my top listens since the very beginning. When I try to introduce it to someone new, I always wind up calling it Dickensian - not because it's a period piece, but because of the incredible scope of the story, the heightened reality while still being very real and very vital, and the focus on social issues and collective solutions. Their story ranges from very personal, deeply emotional moments to great sweeping adventures as a whole new city is born on the rails of the Red Line to  hilarious diversions into pop culture or characters clashing or the pizza ghost ... all brought to you by so many hugely talented writers and voice actors and technicians I admire. It's beautiful and earthy and important and exquisitely crafted and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.  The clip that comes next is an excerpt from the first episode of the series. Listen, let it seep into you, and then go find Greater Boston in your podcast apps or online at GreaterBostonShow.com to hear more. Because there is a lot more, and it just gets better and better.  *** Greater Boston Episode Transcript: https://www.greaterbostonshow.com/episode-1-family-riddles/ *** Waiting For October: Network: https://fableandfolly.com/ Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@wfo86 Tumblr: @monkeymanproductions Discord: https://discord.gg/6NAhrG5 Facebook: Monkeyman Productions BlueSky: @monkeyman.bsky.social Merch: http://tee.pub/lic/zUb0YN1_6mw Learn more about your ad choices. Om Waiting For October

Waiting For October - a queer supernatural audio drama by D.J. Sylvis and Monkeyman Productions. There is a world - one of thousands touching ours - known as October. One of the archetypes; one of the realities that is a source for our stories. It is not difficult to reach, if you know the way - you can experience their wildness for yourself, adventure there, and live, and love. But be wary - perhaps more than any other existence, here there be monsters …
